The Ideal Home Show, Britain’s best loved home event, returns to London’s Earls Court on its 105th birthday. This is the show where design goes domestic and cutting edge meets kitchen gadget. Jammed with displays, ‘How to’ theatres, demonstrations, competitions and a catwalk, the Ideal Home has an idea for every Ideal including interiors, home improvements, gardens, gadgets, houseware and shopping. If it’s hot, and it’s housey, it’s at the Ideal Home. If you’re the sort of person who likes to live indoors, you don’t want to miss this Omega weekend break. This tour is organised and operated by Omega Events Ltd ABTA Y590X
- Return standard class** rail travel from your chosen departure station to London
- Two nights’ stay in a twin/double bedded room* at the 4 star Tower Guoman hotel with continental breakfast (English breakfast is available at a supplement of £8.00pp per night)
- Free time in London
- Entry to the Ideal Home Show at Earls Court
** Return first class rail is offered from almost all stations at a supplement of £50pp. Please note: All travel times and arrangements may be subject to change. All rail departures will be in the morning from your chosen station, arriving in London in the early afternoon. Precise departure times will be confirmed with your final itinerary and rail tickets, which will be sent to you about 5 days before travel, and we ask you to check and note the departure times stated on your final itinerary, when they arrive. Rail travel can be subject to delays and changes due to engineering works and Omega Holidays cannot be held responsible for any travel delays or amendments made to journey routes and methods of travel made by the rail provider. Although we endeavour to seat all clients travelling on the same booking together, this unfortunately cannot be guaranteed.
Friday: Take the morning train to London from your local station (please see the rail grid opposite), and on arrival make your way to the 4 star Tower Guoman Hotel for check in and free time before the first of two nights stay (nearest tube stop Tower Bridge). Saturday: And now, the show that first brought you the vacuum cleaner, the electric kettle, the toaster and the Teasmade. After breakfast make your way to the main event, the Ideal Home Show at Earls Court. There’s a ton of stuff to see but also a wide range of bars, cafés and restaurants, so don’t miss the chance to sit down and grab a bite while you’re sketching your new bathroom layout, Swedish lounge installation or green garden feature. Sunday: What’s a trip to London if you don’t see any of the sights? After breakfast you’ll have free time to explore some of those famous monuments, museums and historic sites that in London are practically one street in any direction. But then again, why ruin an Ideal trip to London with high-minded culture when you’re so near the world’s most dazzling and exclusive department stores? Just a short hop on the Piccadilly Line to Knightsbridge and you’ll find Harrods and Harvey Nichols. Or head two stops in the other direction (change at Green Park for the Jubilee line) and you’ve reached Bond St and Selfridges. So forth and multi-buy, but remember to take lots of pocket money. Make your way to the station for your train in the late afternoon /early evening.
This break is a day trip and therefore does not use a hotel
